We welcome you
Welcome to our community where students, faculty and staff come from all walks of life, striving to make the Mount Ida experience one of enrichment and empowerment for all. We believe we can learn a lot from one another and encourage a thoughtful exchange of ideas.
Our Office of Diversity and Inclusion offers you and our community an array of educational, cultural and social programming. Our staff also works collaboratively with campus departments and academic programs to foster an environment that values and actively supports diversity and inclusion. Diversity and Inclusion achieves these goals through a number of programs:
- Diversity Peer Leader Program: is a peer mentor program bringing together new, incoming students with eligible upperclassmen. Through ongoing training and supervision, upperclassmen mentors guide and support underclassmen as they transition into college.
- Social Justice Programming and Awareness: provides multiple opportunities throughout the year for you and fellow students to attend speaker series, facilitated discussions, films and other community events designed to engage and educate on social justice.
- Advising, Advocating and Achieving: our Office of Diversity and Inclusion also serves as an advocate and facilitator for students who may be under-represented. Learn how to advocate for yourself or a student group you would like to advocate and represent on campus.
To learn more, visit the Office of Diversity and Inclusion on the second floor of the Student Center or call at (617) 928-4554.
