Holly Arcadipane, a junior enrolled in Mount Ida College’s Dental Hygiene Bachelor’s Degree Program, was presented with the Massachusetts Dental Hygienists’ Association Scholarship Award. The scholarship award is presented to the candidate who has demonstrated outstanding performance in their accredited Dental Hygiene program. Award candidates are considered on the basis of academic achievement, leadership, ability, and interest in the career of dental hygiene.
Passionate in the field of dental hygiene, Arcadipane, an active student member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), was also chosen by the ADHA as their recipient of the ADHA scholarship award. As a recipient of the award, Arcadipane was presented with a trip to CLL 2014 at ADHA’s 91st Annual Session in Las Vegas, Nevada. She will represent the student delegation in annual session for the state of Massachusetts.
Humbled by the recognition in her field, Arcadipane credits Mount Ida’s tight-knit campus community and supportive faculty for her success.
“I can’t imagine being a part of any other program. The faculty and my classmates – we are really close and work to support each other,” notes Arcadipane. “It is truly special.”
Next up for Arcadipane is her national dental hygiene board examination followed by graduation from Mount Ida’s accredited dental hygiene training program. She will continue her studies at Mount Ida for an extra year as a part of our Dental Hygiene Bachelor’s Degree program.
For the future, Arcadipane aims to continue to grow as an active leader in her industry.
“I plan on exploring the entire field in the future. There are so many possibilities and no limits; Dental Hygiene is always evolving,” said Arcadipane. “I plan to continue being a part of Mount Ida, building my career in the image of my mentors here.”
