Design Scholarship
Although a formal portfolio is not required for admission to the design programs at Mount Ida College, students with portfolios should submit samples of work to be reviewed by faculty for a possible increase in merit funding.
Your portfolio should represent the variety of skills that you have developed to date and should showcase your interests, imagination and creativity. Your portfolio must contain pieces of your best and most recent work illustrating but not limited to any of the following:
- Observational drawing in any media.
- Two and three-dimensional design pieces in a variety of media such as photography, works in clay, printmaking and mixed media work.
You may also wish to include some work that is specifically related to your intended major.
Portfolios should be submitted online at https://mountida.slideroom.com. A $10 submission fee required for portfolio submission.
Please note that students must apply for admission to Mount Ida and submit their portfolios for review prior to February 19, 2010 in order to be considered for additional merit funding.
