Interior Design
Accredited by the Council For Interior Design Accreditation (formally FIDER), Mount Ida’s multi-dimensional, multi-disciplinary interior design degree is known as one of the best in New England.
Our academic courses and studios give you the artistic and technical skills needed to design interior spaces that enhance the quality of life and work, while complying with building codes and standards. You’ll explore the various aspects of residential, office, retail and hospitality, as well as reuse and renovation design in a small class size ideal for in-depth learning and creative exploration.
You’ll also learn to analyze client needs, develop and present your designs clearly using the basic elements of light, color, form and space. You’ll become an expert in CAD and AutoCAD – the industry standards for computer-aided design – while developing traditional drawing skills, to give you the versatility you need to communicate your vision.
GRADUATE PROGRAM
Mount Ida College also offers a MSM for Interior Architecture, which is geared towards design professionals who wish to expand their knowledge of management while simultaneously advancing their design skills. The 36-credit, part-time program can be completed in two years.
