Fashion Merchandising and Marketing

The bachelor degree in fashion merchandising and marketing prepares you for a fast-paced, competitive field, with a balanced combination of liberal arts, art foundation, fashion merchandising and business courses.

Your curriculum spans various disciplines, focusing on fashion goods, buying, retail management, operations, promotion and entrepreneurial skills. Internships, available in sophomore year, provide you with you real-world experience and exposure to careers in sales, buying, management, personnel, fashion promotion, visual merchandising and advertising, helping you set your sights on a chosen path for your required internship in senior year.

Our location near Boston gives you access to extraordinary employment and internship opportunities, including prestigious retailers such as Ralph Lauren and a host of exclusive area stores.

From producing and publicizing a professionally organized annual spring fashion show in downtown Boston, to selecting, researching and presenting a capstone project on a personal career focus, merchandising students enjoy a multitude of opportunities to develop a portfolio and gain hands-on industry experience.
