Fashion Design
The fashion design bachelor degree program at Mount Ida integrates liberal arts, creativity, and technology to give you the skills to compete and succeed in this fast-paced field.
You’ll study all facets of fashion design through hands-on instruction in a variety of courses that reflect current industry trends, learning how to develop and create fashion by doing it yourself. Classes in art, draping, sewing, patternmaking, illustration, tailoring, CAD, and presentation lead to studio work that will give you the opportunity to show your talent and originality.
Mount Ida design graduates work in many job categories at a host of firms, including Ralph Lauren, Abercrombie & Fitch, Jones New York, J. Jill, Talbots, TJX, Bennett & Co., Briggs NY, New Balance, Federated Department Stores, Disney, Tommy Hilfiger, The Boston Ballet, and more!
