Mount Ida College

From Potential to Achievement

Dental Hygiene Degree Completion Program

The Dental Hygiene Degree Completion program is designed for dental hygienists who have successfully completed an accredited (CODA) dental hygiene program and want to complete a bachelor’s degree.

This program can be taken full-time or part-time but must be completed within five years. Along with three core courses, the dental hygienist can choose one area of concentration in either: business/management, pre-professional (those interested in dental school), education (teaching) or forensics. A minimum of 30 credit hours are required to graduate from Mount Ida College.

The education and business/management concentrations can be taken completely online. The forensic and pre-professional concentrations require some courses to be taken on campus.

The completely online options afford students who do not live in the area and/or those traditional daytime working hygienists to complete a BS degree.

**Current licensure in Dental Hygiene and Healthcare Provider CPR are required for the education concentration.
