School of Animal Science
The School of Animal Science at Mount Ida College offers bachelor and associate degree programs in the area of veterinary technology.
The programs in the School focus almost exclusively on working with animals in medical and laboratory settings. Students participate in hands-on learning at our onsite veterinary technology building, which includes a kennel, surgical suite, clinical lab and prep area.
Off-campus learning environments include equestrian facilities and a large-animal lab available through a university partnership. Classes are small and focus on developing career-related skills. Practical learning is also emphasized through off-site internships, opening doors to future employment opportunities.
