Jeffrey E. Megna, alumnus of New England Institute, Class of 1984, has over thirty years of practical experience in the funeral service industry; having worked in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. He is a licensed embalmer and funeral director in the States of Massachusetts and Rhode Island and is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner through the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. He earned an Associate in Science Degree in Funeral Service from New England Institute, Boston, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rhode Island College, and a Master of Education Degree with concentration in differentiated instruction from Cambridge College and completed graduate studies at Boston College, University of Rhode Island and Providence College respectively.
A professional educator, Professor Megna has held positions as a school administrator and high school science teacher in Rhode Island. He has served as an adjunct professor at Mount Ida College since the spring of 2004.
He holds memberships with the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the National Funeral Directors’ Association, the National Science Teachers’ Association, and the Rhode Island Science Teachers’ Association.
