Professor Steinberg has recently completed her fifth textbook. Her areas of interest include classroom use of video and computers. Each January she teaches international teaching assistants at MIT, where she is also responsible for assessing the English level of all incoming international graduate students. She has recruited international students in Asia on three separate visits and has recently established the International Ambassador Program for international graduates who have returned to their countries and now serve as liasons for interested Mount Ida applicants. She lives in Boston, has three adult children, and enjoys swimming and traveling.
