From Potential to Achievement

February 9, 2013

Evening Update

As anticipated, the Mount Ida Shuttle will resume service on Sunday, February 10 at noon.  The Wadsworth Library also will open at its usual time, 1:00 p.m.

Please note, the Governor’s travel ban has been lifted.  Please avoid any unnecessary travel.

Early Afernoon Update

Power on the academic side of campus has been restored. Internet access at usual speed also has been restored, including New Hall, which was temporarily down earlier today.

Also, please note Carlson Hall will remain closed until Sunday at 5:00 p.m.

Morning Update

Last night, Mount Ida experienced a power outage affecting only the academic side of campus; power remains up and running for our students on the residential side of campus. As planned, the College’s generator for IT, located on the Academic side of campus, automatically powered on shortly after the outage.

At this time, the College’s servers are in full operation, the network is online and wi-fi and internet services still available to students on campus. Due to back up power source, students will notice reduced speed of the internet. MiWeb, the College’s portal, is fully operational on campus, but not accessible from off-campus; it will be once power is restored.

Please note that the Governor's travel ban is still in effect.  We ask the Mount Ida Community to be safe, stay in doors and off the roads, so that our local and state public works departments can clear the roads safely.
