Mount Ida Nor’easter Preparations

Dear Members of the Mount Ida Community:
On behalf of the College’s storm response team, I would like to share the following preparations we have taken for the nor’easter that is predicted to last until sometime tomorrow:
-All drains throughout campus have been checked and cleared;
-Generators are on site for all residence halls, the dining facility and at the Veterinary Technology building if necessary;
-Custom Electric is on standby in case of a power outage;
-Facilities staff is on standby in case of weather emergency or power outage;
-Snow and ice removal arrangements are in place if necessary, including ice melt, sanding, etc.
We do not anticipate the weather to be like the severity of last week’s severe weather. If you have any concerns, please contact Residence Life at (617) 928-4612. Thank you.
