Boston Globe Style Section Mentions Fashion Design Students in Copley Catwalk Fashion Shows for Boston Fashion Week
September 28, 2012
Mount Ida fashion design students are buzzing with excitement over the Fashion Design program’s participation in Boston Fashion Week, which kicked off September 27 and ends October 6. The Boston Globe recently featured a Boston Fashion Week story, which also mentions Mount Ida’s invitation for our students to be a part of the Copley Catwalk Fashion Shows (October 1-3).
Please join us in congratulating the following Mount Ida seniors who are presenting five-piece collections at the Copley Place show: Liz Stepchin; Florence Duah; Paola Ferreira; Katie Kim; Julie Michaud; and lly Webb. Our talented students will be showing a total of 30 garments, which were created last year during students’ studio work courses. Our seniors will join Massachusetts College of Art and Design on the runway, along with high end retailers in Copley’s nightly fashion shows.
The Copley Catwalk Fashion Show event is just one of the many ways our fashion design students gain valuable hands-on learning, professional experience and exposure to the Boston fashion community.
