Mount Ida College Selects Ridgetop Farm in Holliston, Massachusetts as its new equine training facility.
Newton, MA — Mount Ida College School of Business’ Equine Management Program and Athletics Women’s Equestrian Program are pleased to announce the selection of their new equine training facility at Ridgetop Farm, a full service Hunter-Jumper-Equitation facility, located in Holliston, Massachusetts. The new facility offers students from both the Equine Management Program and the Women’s Equestrian Team a state-of-the-art facility to pursue their respective academic and athletic programs starting this fall.
“We are always reviewing and evaluating our equine facilities in line with our academic and athletic programming and thought the time was right to make a change. We are thrilled with the opportunities Ridgetop will provide our students. That said, we’d also like to acknowledge and thank Carl Catani and the River Wind Farm family, our former facility in Pembroke, Massachusetts, for their many years of support,” stated Laura Doleski-Reed, Professor and Program Director of Equine Management and Head Coach of the Women’s Equestrian Team.
Ridgetop Farm’s facility has 38 stalls, paddocks and grass fields with an indoor ring and heated viewing area. The farm also provides a large irrigated and lighted outdoor ring, a small outdoor sand ring, including trail access, derby field, three inside and two outdoor wash stalls and more. The College offers students a shuttle service to and from the facility; contact Laura Doleski-Reed, Equine Program Director for a schedule.
