Annual Fund Kick Off! Alumni Participation Challenge

Participate in the Annual Fund Alumni Participation Challenge! Working together, every donation makes a difference.
Newton, MA--To kick off this year’s Annual Fund campaign, Alumni Council President Maureen Malavase ’01 has set out a challenge to fellow alumni: help Mount Ida increase the number of donors to the Annual Fund by 10%. With that, Malavase and members of the Alumni Council have committed to 100% participation.
Malavase stated, “Please join the Alumni Council in giving to the 2011-12 Annual Fund campaign. Every donation is important. Together we can make a difference in the lives of Mount Ida students. Your gift matters! Every gift makes a difference! We need your support!”
She continued, “As a graduate of Mount Ida College, I know firsthand that it is a special place where dreams can become a reality. My Mount Ida education provided me with a strong liberal arts foundation combined with the practical career-oriented preparation to be competitive in today’s world.”
About the Annual Fund
The Annual Fund was established to help defray expenses not covered by student tuition. Cash gifts made to this fund provide essential financial support to the College’s mission, and enable us to provide opportunities to a wider base of prospective students by making education as affordable as possible.
To that end, gifts to the Annual Fund are used to provide financial aid to deserving students, purchase books and offer assistance to faculty, as well as strengthen existing programs. Plus, each gift made to the Annual Fund reinforces Mount Ida’s position as an innovative learning institute in the eyes of other prospective funding sources such as corporations and foundations.

Don’t Forget About Matching Gifts
As a reminder to all of our alumni, many employers offer matching gift programs whereby they will match some or your entire donation to Mount Ida College. Any funds matched count toward your gift total so you are recognized at the appropriate level, and your company’s commitment to higher education will also be formally acknowledged.
