Mount Ida College Names Cheryl St. Pierre-Sleboda as New Vice President for Finance and Administration

Ms. Cheryl St. Pierre-Sleboda, New Vice President for Administration & Finance
Newton, MA – Mount Ida College is pleased to announce that it has selected Cheryl St. Pierre-Sleboda as its new Vice President for Finance and Administration, effective September 26, 2011. Reporting directly to President Lance Carluccio, Ms. St. Pierre-Sleboda will help lead the College to continue to strategically grow, increase efficiencies and further improve financial strength. In addition to finance and administration functions, she has oversight of the College’s business services, technology and administrative information systems and facilities and physical plant. Ms. St. Pierre-Sleboda replaces David Healy, who retired in August 2011 after nine years of service to the College.
“We are thrilled Cheryl, a former alumna of Mount Ida’s New England Institute, has returned to her alma mater in the capacity of CFO,” stated Dr. Lance Carluccio, President of Mount Ida College. “As the College continues forward on its path toward prudent, strategic growth and increased efficiencies across the College, Cheryl’s expertise and experience will be a key factor in our success.”
Cheryl St. Pierre-Sleboda stated, “I have always believed strongly in the students, programs and mission of Mount Ida College. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Carluccio and the Mount Ida College community to help lead and support the continued long term growth and success of this great institution that has served so many students well throughout its long history.”
For about 20 years, Ms. St. Pierre-Sleboda has worked in positions of increasing responsibility at small, private colleges and private, independent schools. Most recently, she served as Vice President for Finance and Administration and Treasurer at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts, where she successfully created and implemented a financial viability analysis model for academic programs, introduced innovations to improve efficiencies and successfully oversaw the restructuring of long-term debt and capital projects. Previously, she worked at Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania also as Vice President for Finance and Administration, and prior to that at Watkinson School in Hartford, Connecticut and The Lowell Whiteman School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Ms. St. Pierre-Sleboda holds an Associate of Science, Mortuary Sciences, from the New England Institute of Mount Ida College. She attended Springfield College, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Administration. Ms. St. Pierre-Sleboda received her Master of Business Administration at Shippensburg University. Throughout her career, she has served as a board member or board treasurer for many non-profit and community organizations and speaks at professional conferences and meetings. She also was a member of the United States Freestyle Ski Team between 1975 and 1980. Originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, Ms. St. Pierre-Sleboda and her husband Robert have three children, Daniel, Stephanie and James, and currently reside in Paxton, Massachusetts.
