Dr. Liang Tang, Business Professor, is awarded tenure.
Newton, MA—At Mount Ida College, our professors have practical, real world experience in their field of study and come to the classroom focused on one thing, teaching our students. Recently, Business Professor Liang Tang, one of our dedicated faculty members, was awarded tenure. Like many professors at Mount Ida, he received tenure in large part due to his hard work, commitment and contributions to the success of our students, our School of Business and to the College-at-large.
A Dream Come True
“Since my return to academics from corporate finance, being awarded tenure is a dream come true for me. I love Mount Ida College and am thrilled to continue to help shape the business curriculum long term, including giving our students more opportunities to gain global perspectives and experiences, which I believe is critical in an increasingly global job market,” stated Dr. Tang.
Opening Doors to one of the World’s Fastest Growing Economies
Since arriving at Mount Ida College as an Associate Professor in 2008, Dr. Tang has built strong partnerships between the College and Renmin University, one of China’s most prestigious research-oriented-universities in the humanities and social sciences, located in Beijing—along with the University of International Business and Economics also in Beijing, and other Chinese companies and businesses. As a result of these partnerships, Mount Ida students have had the opportunity to travel to study, take on internships and even land jobs in one of the world’s fastest growing economies.
