Academic Residency Schedule for Funeral Home Management

Well-Designed

As a student enrolled in the online funeral home management program, you will take part in three academic residencies that will introduce you to classmates, College resources, faculty, and the technology used throughout the program. Each residency will last a few days, during which time you have the option of living in a campus residence hall, a local hotel, or another setting of your choice. First Academic Residency and Orientation for students starting the program Fall 2010

 July 24 - July 25

The first residency takes place in the summer at the beginning of your studies. During this time, you'll meet your classmates and receive an orientation to the College, the academic program, and the related technology. You'll also be able to participate in a series of workshops focused on grief, loss, and bereavement that are held each year at Mount Ida's National Center for Death Education (NCDE) Summer Institute. Additionally, the library staff will offer a workshop on information literacy and how to access library services and materials online.
