» The Learning Circle (TLC) Receives $1.2 Million, Five-Year Grant 
(August 27, 2010) Mount Ida students who can benefit from additional support — those from income-eligible families, who are the first in their families to earn a bachelors degree or who have learning disabilities — got a major boost this summer when the U.S. Department of Education awarded The Learning Circle (TLC) a $1.2 million, five-year TRIO grant.

(August 17, 2010) All Things Considered, National Public Radio’s flagship news program, visited Mount Ida College several weeks ago and interviewed students and staff about a new roommate selection process being utilized at the College.

» Mount Ida College Hosts African American Women in Higher Education Conference 
August 9, 2010) Associate Director Mount Ida College hosted the African American Women in Higher Education of New England (AAWHE-NE) 8th Annual Conference on Thursday ,August 5th. The conference, titles "Renewal :Living Your Best Life," included workshops and discussions about issues unique to African American women in academia such as spiritual diversity and personal wellness in the workplace. Dr Candice Baldwin, The Director of Multicultural Affairs and Addie Dare , Director of Student Activities , organized the event.

» Contribution Helps Fund Makeover of The Career Services Office 
(July 27, 2010) Associate Director The Career Services office at Mount Ida College has received a design makeover! This Spring, Victoria Johnson '12 , an Interior Design major, worked with Rob Brooks ,Director of Career Services, to plan and implement updates to the career services office.

» Mount Ida Names Matt Burke Interim Athletic Director 
(July 7, 2010) Associate Director of Athletics Matthew Burke will take over as Interim Athletic Director on Friday, July 9. Burke replaces Dr. Jacqueline Palmer, who has held the reins of the Mount Ida Mustangs for the past 22 seasons.
