ANGEL: Troubleshooting FAQ

Please review all of the troubleshooting tips below for an answer to your question or problem with ANGEL. If you cannot find a solution, please let us know of the problem you are having by completing the Trouble Report Form.

What browsers can I use to access ANGEL? Can I use a Mac too?
 

Remember to make sure that you are using a web browser supported by ANGEL. If you use an unsupported browser, you will have difficulties accessing ANGEL, submitting assignments, taking quizzes, or even opening your courses. You can access ANGEL from a PC or a Mac.

Please find your browser from the list available on our Supported Browsers page. You will find browsers for Macs there as well.

 
I am getting an invalid username and password message even though I KNOW that I am entering it correctly.
  Clearing your browser cache (also called temporary internet files) and deleting cookies can improve the speed of your web browser and prevent problems at log-in. We recommend that prior to logging in to ANGEL, you clear your browser cache and delete cookies.
Find your browser on the Preparing Your Browser page and follow the directions for clearing your browser's cache and deleting cookies.
How do I change my password?
 
  1. Log into ANGEL.
  2. Click on the "Preferences" icon (looks a profile of a person) on the left side of the page.
  3. Click "Change Password."
  4. Fill out the form, entering your current password, and your new password in the next two boxes.
  5. Click "OK."
Can I forward my ANGEL email to an external email account?
 

Yes, you can forward your mail received in ANGEL to another email account outside of ANGEL. Note that you can't reply to ANGEL email from an external account, only receive. Follow these steps:

  1. Log into ANGEL.
  2. Click on the "Preferences" icon (looks a profile of a person) on the left side of the page.
  3. Click "System Settings," and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  4. Enter your email address of choice and in the "Forwarding Address" box.
  5. Choose one of the forwarding settings from the drop down menu in the "Forwarding Mode" box.
  6. Click "Save."

REMEMBER: You cannot reply to messages sent to an external email address from ANGEL; the email will not be delivered to your intended recipient and will be returned to you. You have to reply to it in ANGEL.

I cannot open or create emails, take quizzes, and/or join a chat room.
 

ANGEL uses pop-up windows for quizzes, chat rooms, and when reading and creating email messages. You MUST disable pop-up blockers in order to do these activities. If you are unable to open your mail messages or cannot get a quiz to open, it is likely to be caused by a pop-up blocker. Find your specific browser and follow the directions for turning off the pop-up blockers in your browser and on your Yahoo, Google, and other toolbars.
