Mount Ida welcomes transfer students at any stage in their education. We recognize the Advanced Placement (AP) Program, the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) of the College Board. We grant advanced standing for applicable courses completed with requisite grades at other regionally or nationally accredited colleges. Accordingly, applicants may qualify for advanced standing for satisfactory performance in AP and/or CLEP examinations in subject areas appropriate to their chosen major.

If applicable, transfer credits are evaluated individually and awarded for courses that are similar in content and depth to those required in your program of study. Certain studio art courses may require a portfolio review before transfer credit is awarded. Credit may also be given on an individual basis for life experience. Appropriate courses with a grade of ā€œCā€ or higher will be awarded transfer credit. Please be assured that every attempt is made to transfer the maximum number of credits earned prior to your admission to the College.
