Statement of Diversity
Diversity at Mount Ida College refers to the different individuals and experiences which comprise the College’s learning community.
Dimensions of diversity or pluralism, as defined by the American Council of Education include:
- Diversity by race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, learning styles, capability, and gender
- Religious diversity
- Political diversity
- Multilingual and international diversity
- Generational diversity
- Openness to different intellectual approaches and perspectives
- Promotion of academic freedom and provision of safe space for debate
