From Potential to Achievement

Designing Fashion as Business and Art

April 2 – April 27, 2002

All of the clothing designers featured in this exhibition owned and ran their own businesses. Some of them created everything from concept to end product while others used local cutters, stitchers and dyers. By running their own businesses and hiring other small businesses they added a quiet base to the Boston area economy. Featured designers included Ana Hernandez, Margo Rich and Lenore Hill from Good Dog-Mud Pig, Inc., Deborah Parker, Christina DeFalco, and Marie Galvin of GALVIN-ized Headwear.
