DINING SERVICES
Aramark Campus Services is Mount Ida's provider of food and dining services throughout campus. Aramark provides residential dining at “Real Food” in Wingate Hall, retail dining at the Carlson Center Court Café and catering services across campus. Our main focus is to play an integral and positive role in student life. We are dedicated to serving the students quality food and strive to exceed their expectations. Through surveys, daily interactions with students and keen attention to the written comments received, menus and services are continuously reviewed, edited and expanded to meet the ever-changing palate of Mount Ida’s students. Furthermore, if students have dietary restrictions, allergies and/or special needs these issues may be addressed through the Dining Services Office in Wingate Hall. Feel free to stop by or call 617-969-8929.
Resident Dining Memberships:
Dining memberships allow you to enjoy all the great dining privileges we have in store for you. With the wonders of technology, we transform your student ID card into a membership card packed with unlimited buying potential and the ability to eat when and how you like. These memberships consist of two main features:
Weekly Meal Allowance
These plans are intended for students who will be living on campus during the academic year. The meal allowance gives you the opportunity to enjoy all-you-care-to-eat dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Real Food at Wingate Hall. You receive a varying number of guaranteed meals per week each semester. Each time your ID card is scanned in the dining hall, one meal is subtracted from your weekly meal balance. You may choose the number of meals based on your desired eating habits and academic schedule.
Declining Balance Dollars (Points)
Points work on the same principal as bank debit cards. Each time you make a food purchase at the Carlson Center Court Caf, the total cost of your meal is subtracted from the dollar balance in your account.
Commuter Dining Memberships:
Commuter Memberships are designed specifically to give you better dining value for your dollars when you use a meal plan instead of paying cash to eat on campus. For example, if you purchased 20 block meals for $79 these same meals could cost you as much as $119 if you paid cash at the door!If you only want Points to use in the Caf simply open a meal account with as little as $50.Once registered, your student ID card works with our computer system to identify you as a dining plan member. Our commuter dining plans have two great features to save you money:
Block Meals
Block Meals provide you money-saving all-you-care-to-eat meals per semester in Real Food at Wingate Hall. Simply present your student ID card at the resident dining room and the meal will be deducted from the balance in your account.
Declining Balance Dollars (Points)
Points work on the same principal as bank debit cards. Each time you make a food purchase at the Carlson Center Court Caf, the total cost of your meal is subtracted from the dollar balance in your account.
Dining memberships may be purchased through the Office of Dining Services in Wingate Hall, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please contact Tunde Boi, the office manager, or Eric Henchey, director of dining services, for details. Students can make payments to Aramark Corp. by cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa. Purchases can also be applied directly to your Mount Ida College account.
