Laura De Veau
Assistant Dean of Students for Residence Life
About Laura: Laura De Veau, M.Ed., Assistant Dean of Students for Residence Life. Laura joined the staff at Mount Ida College in August of 2008. She received both her undergraduate degree in Journalism and her Master's degree in Higher Education Policy and Planning from Boston University. Laura has been a Student Affairs practitioner since 1989 and has had a career that has included leadership in the areas of Athletic Administration, Leadership Development, Student Activities and Residence Life. Prior to coming to Mount Ida, Laura has worked at Boston University, Babson College, Endicott College and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has been recognized by the National Association for Student Personnel Administrators as the Outstanding Mid-Level Professional for Massachusetts in 2007, for the Regional (New England) Program of the Year in 2009 and for Service to NASPA in 2011. Laura has also been recognized by the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center in 2008 as a Champion of Change. E-mail Laura
Jen Golojuch
Associate Director
About Jen: Jen Golojuch is the Associate Director of Residence Life and in her fourth year at Mount Ida College. Jen received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Sociology from Keene State College and her Master’s in Education in Student Development in Higher Education from the University of Maine. Prior to working at Mount Ida College, Jen worked in Residence Life at Brandeis University and Merrimack College. Jen enjoys sports, reading, running, and spending time with her family and friends.

Melissa Scuccimarri
Assistant Director for Operations
About Melissa: Originally from New York, Melissa earned her Bachelor’s degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College, and her Master’s from Hofstra University. She has worked at a juvenile detention center, a high school, and most recently Stony Brook University where she was a Residence Hall Director for 5 years. In addition to her responsibilities as Assistant Director for Operations, Melissa oversees Wingate Hall. In her free time Melissa enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Kristin Fitzgerald
Assistant Director for Residential Eduation
About Kristin: Kristin Fitzgerald is in her second year as the Assistant Director for Residential Education. Kristin received her Bachelor’s Degree in English from Merrimack College and her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Assumption College. Prior to Mount Ida, she has worked in Residence Life at Lasell College and Stonehill College. In addition to her responsibilities as Assistant Director for Residential Education, Kristin oversees Malloy Hall and the Townhouses. When not at work, Kristin enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family.

Gavin Estey
Resident Director for New Hall and Chapman
About Gavin: Gavin Estey is the New Resident Director overseeing New Hall and Chapman Hall. He received his Associates Degree in History from Dean College and Bachelors degree in History from the University of New Hampshire. Before coming to Mount Ida he was a part time Resident Director at Dean College. Outside of work he enjoys watching movies and playing lacrosse and golf. E-mail Gavin
Al Parks Jr.
Resident Director for Shaw and Brown
About Al: Al Parks Jr. is in his first year as the Resident Director for Shaw and Brown Hall at Mount Ida College. Al received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from Pennsylvania State University. Throughout his collegiate career he has worked with Students Affairs from being an Orientation Leader to a Resident Assistant. About Kelly: Kelly DeSisto is in her first year as the Graduate Assistant for Pine Manor College. Kelly received her Bachelor's Degree in English Communications with two minors in Psychology and Theology & Religious Studies from Emmanuel College.She is currently working towards her Master's Degree in Higher Education in Student Affairs at Salem State University. About Ben: Ben Weiner is in his first year as the Graduate Assistant for Residential Education. Ben received his Bachelor's Degree in Science from Newbury College. He majored in Pre-Law while minoring in English, Psychology, and Social Sciences. He currently attends Northeastern University and is working towards his Master's Degree in College Student Development & Counseling. Ben has worked in Student Affairs at Newbury College.
