Registration Process and Important Timelines
The application process begins with a meeting with the Director of the Center for Global Connections and the submission of the Mount Ida College Study Abroad Application. This application is available in the Center for Global Connections Office, located in Carlson Hall.

Programs fill early, so it is recommended that students file their applications by the following dates:

  • Fall semester: March 15

  • Summer programs: April 1

  • Spring programs: October 15

Eligibility
Students should discuss study abroad options with their academic advisors as early as the end of their first semester. Students need to determine if they meet the course requirements of their specific majors to be eligible to study abroad. For semester study abroad, students need a 3.0 cummulative GPA and have junior standing.

Orientation and Preparation
Two required orientation sessions are presented prior to departure. The first includes information from financial aid, the bursar, and the registrar; the second comprises more logistical content.

Students are also required to read the Study Abroad Handbook and return the Study Abroad Contract and Room Selection Proxy Form. Click here to download the handbook.
