Where we play, cheer and compete

We are proud to offer our student athletes and Mount Ida community a number of state-of-the-art athletic facilities to enjoy, including our all-season, artificial turf Alumni Field stadium, practice field, Trustee Field and student fitness center.

The Mount Ida College Athletic Center is one of the epicenters of high-performance athletic activity for our student athletes—and their many fans in our community.
The Athletic Center is home to our women’s volleyball, men’s volleyball, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball teams. With gymnasium seating for 500 spectators, the facility gives our teams a true home-court advantage. The main gymnasium is also perfect for playing recreational sports and intramural athletic competition.

In January 2014, the Athletic Center unveiled a new student fitness center with state-of-the-art cardiovascular fitness and weight equipment. The fitness center also features men’s and women’s shower and locker rooms. This beautiful, student-centered is the perfect place to mentally prepare or unwind before or after a big game.

The Athletic Center is also home to Mount Ida College’s Athletic Department. In addition to offices for the staff, the facility features an additional weight room, an athletic training room, varsity team locker rooms, and a classroom.

Herring Brook Farm is the official facility of the Mount Ida  College equestrian Team. Located in Pembroke, MA, this full service equestrian facility specializing in Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation is just 45 minutes from campus. The venue offers boarding lessons, show training and coaches, providing riders the opportunity for personal success and growth. The Mount Ida College equestrian team is one of the most successful and competitive programs in the region and in the Mount Ida athletic department, and Herring Brook Farm is a valued partner in this success.

Tennis anyone? Our four, enclosed outdoor tennis courts are the perfect place to let off steam whether you play for Mount Ida’s Women’s Tennis or love to play recreationally. Grab a friend for a single match or three for a doubles and have a ball getting fit. Of course cheering our Women Mustangs during matches is a must too. Go Mustangs!

Thanks in large part to the generosity of Mount Ida College’s Board of Trustees; Mount Ida College’s Trustee Field was constructed in 2012, along with the college’s new state-of-the-art Alumni Field stadium. This regulation-size grass practice field opened for use in fall 2013.
