Where we play, cheer and compete

We are proud to offer our student athletes and Mount Ida community a number of new state-of-the-art athletic facilities to enjoy, including our all-season, artificial turf Alumni Field stadium, practice field, Trustee Field and new student fitness center.

The Mount Ida College Athletic Center is one of the epicenters of high-performance athletic activity for our student athletes—and their many fans in our community.
The Athletic Center is home to our women’s volleyball, men’s volleyball, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball teams. With gymnasium seating for 500 spectators, the facility gives our teams a true home-court advantage. The main gymnasium is also perfect for playing recreational sports and intramural athletic competition.

Coming fall 2013, the Athletic Center will unveil a new student fitness center with state-of-the-art cardiovascular fitness and weight equipment. The fitness center will also feature brand new men’s and women’s shower and locker rooms. This beautiful, new student-centered space will be the perfect place to mentally prepare or unwind before or after a big game.

The Athletic Center is also home to Mount Ida College’s Athletic Department. In addition to offices for the staff, the facility features an additional weight room, an athletic training room, varsity team locker rooms, and a classroom.

Ridgetop Farm, a full service hunter-jumper equitation facility, is situated on 35 acres in a picturesque, rural setting in Holliston, Massachusetts. Just a 40 minute ride from the main Mount Ida campus, our all-weather facility provides a large, irrigated and lighted outdoor ring and a small outdoor sand ring. Ridgetop Farm also includes trail access, a derby field, three inside and two outdoor wash stalls, and more. As an instructional space, as well as a venue for community events, Ridgetop Farm serves as an important academic and athletic resource for our students.

Tennis anyone? Our four, enclosed outdoor tennis courts are the perfect place to let off steam whether you play for Mount Ida’s Women’s Tennis or love to play recreationally. Grab a friend for a single match or three for a doubles and have a ball getting fit. Of course cheering our Women Mustangs during matches is a must too. Go Mustangs!

Thanks in large part to the generosity of Mount Ida College’s Board of Trustees; Mount Ida College’s Trustee Field was constructed in 2012, along with the college’s new state-of-the-art Alumni Field stadium. This new regulation-size grass practice field will be open for use in fall 2013.
