October 21, 2013, Newton, MA—Mount Ida College is pleased to announce that it is a proud sponsor of the inaugural event of the N² Innovation Corridor Initiative on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Digital Reality in Needham. The Newton Needham Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Massachusetts Office of Housing and Economic Development, the City of Newton and the Town of Needham, began working on the N² Innovation Corridor last summer.
The initiative is designed to bring together public and private stakeholders to attract and support the corridor adjacent to I-95 in the Newton-Needham area as a destination for technology companies, start-ups and other innovators. The effort has grown into a coalition of large and small area businesses, innovators, developers, and local officials. Mount Ida College President Barry Brown stated, “We are proud to support the N² Innovation Corridor Initiative. Our proximity to this vital economic corridor opens up exciting opportunities for business and industry and to our students through the creation of mutually beneficial strategic internship and employment relationships.”
Mount Ida College will be represented well at the kick-off event, including members of our Office of Career Services and student leaders from our business and marketing club, DECA. There is still time to register for the N² Innovation Corridor kick-off event.
