On Saturday, November 23, 2013, Mount Ida College will host International Survivors of Suicide Day, sponsored by the National Center for Death Education (NCDE) at Mount Ida and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s 15th Annual International Survivors of Suicide Day is a day that unites survivors of suicide loss around the world for mutual support in remembering their loved ones and practical guidance on coping with grief.
Thousands of survivors gather at events hosted across the globe on this day to participate in programs featuring personal stories of strength, advice, and guidance. Event programming is designed to help survivors find comfort and hope by being with others who share similar emotions and feelings on being a survivor of suicide loss. Attend in person on November 23 to experience the power of community healing and support.
If you are interested in attending this conference, please register online. Registration fees are $30 per person, $25 for students and $60 for a family of four. Scholarships are available to assist with registration fees.
