Mary Corcoran

Chief Information Officer and Dean of Academic Technology Services


Mary Corcoran joined Mount Ida College in early 2016. She currently serves as the Vice President for Information Technology and Special Assistant to the President. In her role as Vice President, she oversees the departments of Information Technology, the Library, Center for Instructional Teaching Effectiveness and Marketing and Communications.

Prior to Mount Ida College, Ms. Corcoran worked for 30 years at Boston College in a variety of progressively responsible roles in Information Technology including Associate Vice President for User and Support Services. She also served as a Senior Organizational Consultant in Human Resources and as the Associate Dean for Administration and Finance at the Woods College of Advancing Studies. Additionally she has worked in the Catholic Schools Office of the Archdiocese of Boston providing strategic technology consulting and project management for two key diocesan wide initiatives.

Ms. Corcoran is currently a board member of the St. Joseph Elementary School Consultative Board, former faculty member of the HERS Institute and board member of the former Catholic Foundation of the Archdiocese of Boston. She holds a B.A. in Psychology as well as a M.Ed. in Testing Measurement and Assessment from Boston College
