Joseph Rios has worked in higher education since 1997. He joined Mount Ida College in 2015, bringing with him experience in multicultural programs, leadership development, residence life, first year and orientation programs. Joseph’s doctoral dissertation was “Promising Practices in Anti-Hazing Education for Fraternity Advisor.”
At Mount Ida Joseph manages the Campus Center and other student involvement venues across campus. He supervises and trains students employed in the Mustang Involvement Center, and manages the Information Desk. He coordinates and leads assessment efforts within the Division of Student Affairs.
Joseph builds close relationships with students to understand their career goals and to match them with involvement opportunities that matches their professional goals.

He is actively involved with his Fraternity, Tau Delta Phi, and serves as the Executive Director. He has been recognized by student and campus religious organizations for his commitment to social justice and inclusion.
