Dan is responsible for the operational aspects of the Residence Life operations at Mount Ida. He manages the housing selection and room change processes, as well as all break closing and break housing processes. Dan works closely with the RAs to assist students in developing strong roommate relationships and to navigate conflicts that may arise.

Dan supports student success through the many conversations he has daily with students. He consistently looks to challenge students to think critically about their experiences to and promote growth and development.

“There isn’t much about my work that I don’t love! I really enjoy the opportunity to build relationships with students and the ability to see them from the start of their journey through graduation, ” he says. “I want to be the person that is just there to listen when students need to talk about the things that are going on in their life. “

Dan started his career as a Graduate Hall Director at the University of Rhode Island for two years before moving to Johnson and Wales University in Providence where he was a Residence Director for three years.

Dan has served as the Technology Chair for the Boston Area College Housing Association (BACHA) since June 2015.
