Assistant Athletics Trainer
Chris Ikier spent four years as a fierce rival of Mount Ida College. Now he takes a key role in the success of Mustangs student athletes, as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.
The former goalkeeper and captain for the Lasell College men’s lacrosse team traded in his blue for the green and white of Mustang City, joining the staff of Head Athletic Trainer Katy Annunziata in the fall of 2016.
Ikier earned his undergraduate degree from Lasell in May of 2016, majoring in Athletic Training, and along the way passed his Board of Certification exam and made Dean’s List for six consecutive semesters. He has spent the last three months interning with athletic training team for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL).
In addition to his work with Lasell, Ikier’s clinical experience includes stints with Babson College, Holy Cross, CATZ Physical Therapy in Needham, and another Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) institution in Simmons College, with whom he worked from August 2015 to February of 2016.
Certifications for Ikier include membership in the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer. He has attended the EATA and ATOM conferences over the last three years, and has presented at Lasell’s Connected Learning Symposium since 2012.
