Professor Walsh has brought a continued level of enthusiasm to the classroom during his seven years of teaching. He notes, “I taught my first college class during my doctoral training and I can still vividly remember how much I enjoyed the experience. I knew I had found my professional home. “

His advanced degrees in Clinical and Counseling Psychology have helped him “to develop effective communication styles that promote student growth in the classroom and in their future profession. ”

Professor Walsh also brings his scholarly work and advanced knowledge in the rapidly changing field of exercise adherence to Mount Ida’s School of Social Sciences & Humanities. “There is still much left to uncover with regard to promoting exercise adherence. While the field has made considerable strides over the past few years, now seems like the appropriate time to examine more ecologically valid factors that contribute to exercise adherence that can help inform fitness professionals and exercisers alike. “

Walsh teaches Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, Biological Bases of Behavior, and Cognitive Psychology.
