Ron has served as Provost and Chief Academic Officer, and previously as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management, at Mount Ida College since November 2012. Ron is responsible for all aspects of the College’s academic enterprise, overseeing the Deans of the four schools, Student Success and Institutional Research. He also oversees enrollment management functions at the College, including Admissions, Student Financial Services and the Registrar. He co-chaired the College’s 2013 strategic planning process and the 2016 VISION 2020 strategic plan. He previously served as Associate Professor and Director of the School of Business at Mount Ida College. In 2009, he received the college’s Lettieri Award for Excellence in Teaching. Prior to assuming his full-time role at the College, Ron co-founded Knowledge Solutions LLC, a strategic consulting firm specializing in the knowledge and higher education industry, where for more than a decade his firm worked with leading national and international organizations including Elsevier, the American Medical Association, BIOSIS, IEEE, Copyright Clearance Center, Thomson Corporation, E.I. duPont de Nemours Inc., ProQuest, and many others. Ron had previously served as CEO of SilverPlatter Information, a global information firm (now part of Wolters Kluwer NV.) He has been a speaker and author on issues relating to knowledge creation and use, intellectual property rights, and the scholarly publishing industry. Ron has served on numerous for-profit and not-for-profit boards including the Board of the Trinity Boston Foundation (Chair), Community Research Initiative of New England, and the Vestry and Advisors (Executive Committee) of Trinity Church in Boston. Ron holds an MBA from Suffolk University, an MA from the University of Virginia, and a BA from Dartmouth College.
