If you’re looking for an, affordable, experienced neighborhood dentist, The Dental Education Center & Community Dental Clinic, our state-of-the-art facility, which is significantly expanding during summer 2013, is the place for you. Our dental clinic offers care at a reduced rate to our student body and residents of our local community.
Our clinic provides dental treatment to adults and children. Dental hygiene students provide preventative dental hygiene services, including cleanings, X-rays, sealants and whitening; while our dentist performs restorative services, such as crowns, extractions and dentures. We accept Mass Health and other insurances.

The Dental Education Center & Community Dental Clinic is located on the first floor of the Academic Technology Building at Mount Ida at 777 Dedham Street in Newton, Massachusetts.
The college offers free parking and is accessible by the MBTA; Bus #52 at the Dedham Street stop or the Green Line Branch D, Newton Centre stop with a free shuttle ride directly to campus from Mount Ida’s shuttle bus.
Third-Party comments for Dental Accreditation
The Mount Ida College Dental Hygiene program will be visited by representatives of the Commission on Dental Accreditation November 4 – 5, 2015. We are responsible for soliciting third-party comments from members of the College community and the public that pertain to the standards for dental hygiene education programs or policies and procedures used in the Commission’s accreditation process.
You are invited to submit comments and concerns to the Commission on Dental Accreditation no later than sixty (60) days prior to the site visit. Comments must be signed. Signatures will be removed from comments prior to being forwarded to the program.
