You’ve heard of “Working hard and playing hard.” Did you know that both are important to lifelong success and happiness? Sure, you come to Mount Ida College to prepare for your career through one of our signature academic programs, but learning to balance your time and energy amid growing demands is another important skill you can gain in college. When you find ways to get your schoolwork done, connect with your family, spend time with friends and stay healthy and happy, those skills will serve you well now and later in life.
You can manage your stress and maintain your health through fun and fitness. On campus, you’ll find many ways to spend your free time.
If you’re looking to take a break from studying or release a little stress, try out one of Mount Ida’s fitness classes. Stretch and breathe with some yoga; dance and shake to some Zumba beats; or simply sweat a bit with some aerobics. Whatever you choose, you’re bound to feel refreshed and fit. Student admission is free, but be sure to register prior as classes fill up fast.
If you’re interested in getting some exercise—as well as a little friendly competition—Mount Ida’s Athletics Department invites you to join our intramural sports teams. Whether you’ve played a sport before or would like to try it out for the first time, we welcome you to be part of our teams. Get fit, make some new friends and have a lot of fun.
Mount Ida fields co-ed intramural teams in volleyball, indoor soccer and floor hockey, as well as a men’s basketball league. All Mount Ida students are invited to join our intramural teams free of charge.
