Center for Wellness Services

Healthy Body Healthy Mind

Providing support for all your health needs

Welcome from the Director
of  Wellness Services

As a student at Mount Ida College, you’ll learn new things in the classroom and about yourself. You’ll make new friends and maybe find some new interests. Along the way, you’ll probably have a time or two where you’re not feeling well. You’ll also want to learn how to make healthy choices about what you eat, how you take care of your body, and how you spend your free time. The Center for Wellness Services is here to support you. We provide health and counseling care for all Mount Ida students. Our services are included in student fees and can be accessed by any student.

In addition to our clinical services, we provide education and information to the Mount Ida community about a variety of health and wellness topics. We also work closely with faculty and staff to support and educate students through collaborative programming, training, and consultation.

Our offices are located in Appleton House.  We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30AM-4:30PM during the academic year (excluding holidays and breaks). When our office is closed, students can access urgent care off campus. If emergency care is needed, students should contact the Mount Ida College Police Department at 617-928-4777.

Students are encouraged to make an appointment to see our clinicians, and can do so by coming to the Center for Wellness Services or by calling 617-928-4599. Medical appointments can also be made online via our Patient Portal. Students may also be seen on a walk-in basis if a clinician is available, but availability is not guaranteed.

We also provide opportunities for students to get involved via our Peer Wellness Education group. Students who are interested in learning more about health and wellness and want to plan and provide educational programs on campus should contact us for more information.

We welcome all students to our offices, and we are pleased to offer excellent care and support to you as you work toward your degree.
