Supporting Student Health and Wellness
Mount Ida College’s Student Health Services encourages students to make physical and emotional health a priority in their lives. Our mission is to provide students with education, consultation, care, and resources that promote healthy lifestyles now and in the future.
Student Health Services is conveniently located on campus at Appleton House, just beyond Alumni Field. Our staff is comprised of a director, a team of nurse practitioners, an administrative assistant, and a consulting physician. Student Health Services may provide you with a number of services, in addition to helping you obtain referrals to nearby hospitals or specialists if necessary.
Student Health Services is open every business day during the academic year from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. SHS clinicians can assist students with a variety of health and wellness needs, including:
- Evaluation and treatment of common health problems and illnesses
- Health maintenance support
- Women’s health care
- Men’s health care
- STD/STI testing and treatment
- Smoking cessation information
- Referrals to local ER, urgent care and specialists
- Health education and wellness programing
In addition, Student Health Services offers a variety of health and wellness initiatives and programs and can provide students with information about a variety of health topics. Students can consult MIWeb, the college’s online portal, for more detailed information.

Student Health Services is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call (617) 928-4599 to make an appointment. Appointments are strongly recommended, as walk-ins cannot always be accommodated.
