Pre-Pharmacy Concentration

A Bachelors degree in Biology with a pre-pharmacy concentration that keeps you in the lab as well as the classroom.

Two students in the lab

Mount Ida’s Pre-pharmacy program is a concentration in our Biology major, and is structured for students to take a specific sequence of courses that constitute pre-requirements for most institutions offering a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Our program emphasizes hands-on laboratory instruction and experimentation in our new state-of-the-art laboratories.

Preparation for the real world.

Mount Ida provides Pre-pharmacy students with regular lab time and personalized attention from faculty to help you master advanced material. Mount Ida recommends that Pre-pharmacy students shadow a pharmacist or volunteer in a pharmacy. Completion of the Pre-pharmacy concentration at Mount Ida College prepares each student to pursue a Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D). Some pharmacy schools require students to take the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT) as part of their application.

For details about the curriculum, the complete course listing, specific program requirements and expected learning outcomes please refer to the Pre-Pharmacy Concentration – Biology degree program in our College Catalog.
