One thing I love about Mount Ida:

“There are so many wonderful things about Mount Ida College, but on a day-to-day basis, what I personally enjoy most is the sense of community.  Everyone on campus –  students, faculty and  staff – are so friendly.  There is a tremendous sense of pride about being part of Mount Ida, and you really do feel that here on campus.”

My advice if you are interested in Mount Ida:

“Choose a college that is the right fit for you. Selecting a college is not a prize to be won, but a match to be made. Mount Ida’s focus on career preparation and career exploration provides real benefits to students– our job placement rate is almost double the national average.  Mount Ida students also enjoy success because they selected a college that was right for them. The culture, the environment, the size of the school and the community are all important factors in determining college success.”

My favorite thing to do outside of work:

“As someone who not only works in Newton, but lives here too, I enjoy taking advantage of many of the fun things to do in the area.  Hiking in one of Newton’s many parks, kayaking on the Charles River (which runs right through Newton), or heading into nearby Boston for dinner, theater or a Red Sox game are some of my favorite activities.”

One thing I love about Mount Ida:

“What attracted me to Mount Ida College is the beautiful campus and its tight-knit community. You feel a sense of belonging and know that faculty and staff care about students success and well-being.

My advice if you are interested in Mount Ida:

Mount Ida College has a history of providing career-oriented education. That is something that I tell anybody interested in one of our graduate programs. The faculty are experts in their field and bring that to the classroom. If you enjoy small classroom sizes and want to propel your career to the next level, Mount Ida College is the right school for you. Also, there’s nothing better than free parking.

Favorite Thing To Do Outside of Work:

If you catch me outside of work, 9 times out of 10 I’m reading a book (or an article on my phone). My favorite book, if you’re interested, is “The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao” by Junot Diaz. Other than that, I love to spend time with family and friends, thinking about traveling the world and binge-watching T.V. shows on Netflix (or HBO).

One thing I love about Mount Ida:

“I love that Mount Ida faculty and staff really get to have hands-on-experiences with the students.  Whether it is helping them find an internship, pointing them in the right direction with a class, or just taking a minute to sit down and talk about how things are going, being a small school fosters a strong sense of community.”

My advice if you are interested in Mount Ida College:

“If you get your application in early and send in your supplementary documents quickly, we can get you a decision within about a week’s time! Our goal is to get you your admission decision as quickly as possible, so you don’t have to spend any more time than necessary waiting. Also, make sure you proofread your essay, so that by the time it reaches our admissions counselors, it’s a polished, finished product that conveys your meaning clearly.”

My favorite thing to do outside of work:

“When the weather is nice I like to be outside on the water rowing, sailing and water skiing. During the winter, you’ll most likely find me in a coffee shop with friends or a book.”

One thing I love about Mount Ida:

“I love the individual attention each student gets from faculty and staff here. From the moment someone shows interest in the school we are all so excited to tell you about all the great things Mount Ida has to offer. The close community among students, the athletic teams, and the career focused majors we have to offer. I also love that are job placement is double the national average.”

My advice if you are interested in Mount Ida:

My advice would be to try to figure out what you want out of a college experience. Maybe a beautiful New England campus close to a major city, with a small student to faculty ratio, a friendly community with athletics, offering career focused majors and experiential learning?  Then look no further! Also make sure to ask the student ambassadors about their experience. No one tells the story better than our students do.”

My favorite thing to do outside of work:

“Dividing this up by  seasons here, I’d say I love warming up inside with friends or family in the winter and in the summer I will definitely be soaking up the sun by the beach. Otherwise you can find me trying a new restaurant in Boston, going to social networking events or at karaoke night.”
