Admitted Students

Welcome Class of 2022

Congratulations and welcome to Mount Ida College! Here is a checklist of your next steps.

Your current Admitted Student Checklist includes:

  • Complete your FAFSA (free financial aid application)
  • Submit your $300 tuition deposit to secure your spot in the class
  • Activate your technology account (you will need this to complete other items)
  • If you want to live on campus, fill out your housing application

Submit Your Tuition Deposit

We require all admitted students to reserve their spot at the College with a $300 tuition deposit. The deposit is not a fee – it will be deducted from your tuition, and is refundable up until December 1 or 30 days after submitted. You may pay your enrollment or housing deposit online here. Please note that many of the following steps cannot be completed without depositing.

Financial Aid

Applying for financial aid? Students can apply online here. Please make sure you contact the Office of Student Financial Services with any questions.

Check-In and Orientation

On Monday, January 15th we require all new students to check-in with us for the upcoming semester. Additionally, we will be hosting orientation sessions to acclimate students to their new surroundings, staff and faculty, and expectations while attending courses at Mount Ida College. We look forward to seeing you there!

Activate Your Technology Account (Email and MiWeb)

You can activate your technology account simply by logging into the official Mount Ida College email and MIWeb service. Login information will be sent directly to you from Mount Ida Technology Services within a week after you submit the deposit. Once you’ve activated your account, please visit the New Student tab in MIWeb for additional helpful information and resources throughout the year.

If you are planning to live on campus, you will need to fill out a housing application and select roommate preferences. You will need to submit the deposit and have your technology account activated before starting this process. Once this is done, you will be able to complete the form through MIWeb. Please note that we will do our best to accommodate your housing preferences, but Mount Ida College does not guarantee housing for students. Please note your timely application is important as soon as you determine whether you would like housing on campus.

Portfolio Submissions

Portfolio submissions are required for majors within the School of Design (excluding Fashion Industry Marketing and Management). If you have not submitted your portfolio, you may do so here. Please contact the Office of Admissions with any questions you may have.

Health Forms

Incoming students are required to have the Immunization Record and Student Health Information and Consent Form completed and returned to Student Health Services in advance of enrolling in courses. This is an online process, and you can find information about all health information requirements and instructions for submitting by clicking here. If you have questions about the requirements or about the Patient Portal, please contact Student Health Services at 617-928-4599 or health@mountida.edu.

Health Insurance Waiver

All full-time and three-quarter-time students in Massachusetts are required to be enrolled in a qualifying health insurance plan. Mount Ida College automatically enrolls all students. If a student wishes to stay on their current health insurance plan, they must waive the Mount Ida policy before enrolling. To do so, please continue to our student health insurance page, thoroughly review the information, and proceed to the appropriate links. Directions will also be provided within your MIWeb portal, and questions can be directed to Student Health Services at 617-928-4599 or health@mountida.edu.

Transfer Student Conduct Evaluation Form

Before enrolling, all transfer students (students transferring to Mount Ida College from another college/university) are required to submit a Transfer Applicant Conduct History Evaluation. You will need to enter your information, sign, then submit the form to your previous institution(s), who will complete the form and return it to Mount Ida College. This will need to be done for each college/university attended within the last 7 years. For contact information for schools from where we frequently receive transfer students, please click here. If you have questions, please contact your admissions counselor.

Student Achievement Program (SAP)

The Student Achievement Program (SAP) is a fee-for-service academic support program that offers students the opportunity to develop essential skills to support successful learning. Students who join SAP have an assigned learning specialist who works with them one-on-one and in small groups to build on strengths, identify strategies, and establish a clear pathway to achievement in their major field of study.

Complete Alcholedu, Haven and Transit

As part of our comprehensive prevention program, Mount Ida College expects its students complete AlcoholEdu, Haven, and Transit. This online education empowers incoming students to make well-informed decisions about issues that affect your years at Mount Ida College and beyond. These courses are required for full-time students and recommended for part-time students. Please click here for instructions.
