Transfer admission application
If you are a transfer student, you may apply by submitting the following:
- Our free online admission application or
- Our free paper admission application you can print, complete and mail to us: Mount Ida College, Office of Admissions, 777 Dedham Street, Newton, MA 02459
- Personal statement or essay*, outlining your academic goals as a transfer student
- At least one letter of recommendation* from a former professor or other person who can describe your academic abilities (We welcome more letters if you have them.)
Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended, along with course descriptions for coursework completed at these schools (even if you do not plan to transfer any credits). If you are transferring in fewer than 12 credits, please provide your high school transcripts as well as SAT or ACT scores.
*These requirements may be waived by the Admissions Office for some candidates.
Transfer student campus visit: We strongly encourage you to schedule a campus visit. You may find it a great opportunity to ensure a good fit between you and Mount Ida. Visiting our beautiful, suburban Newton campus, learning about our career-focused degree options and seeing our close-knit community for yourself is a great way to know if Mount Ida is right for you.
International transfer students: If you do not speak English as your first language, then you must also submit a TOEFL score or other documentation of English proficiency.
