You can focus on one area of business such as marketing, human resources or finance, or you can create a personal plan with minors or electives from our Schools of Design, Applied Science or Social Science and Humanities. In addition, you will also be able to take advantage of our proximity to both the established business environment of the City of Boston and the growing I-95 and Newton-Needham N2 Innovation Corridor for invaluable internship experiences.

Our Business Administration degree emphasizes practical knowledge—the type that matters in the workplace, not just in the classroom. You will examine real-world business issues and tackle complex problems, both individually and in collaborative project teams. Business administration courses provide you with first-hand experience in core business skills such as:

  • 54 credits in business administration

Mount Ida’s business administration program gives you a competitive edge in the job market because of its emphasis on highly sought skills such as writing, presentation, quantitative analysis and critical thinking.

An overwhelming majority of our business administration majors find jobs in their field within a year of graduation. Others continue their studies by seeking a Master’s of Business Administration or other graduate business degree, including Mount Ida’s very own Combined Bachelor Degree to Master of Science in Management (MSM) program.  Our 4+1 option allows students to earn both an undergraduate and MSM degree in five years by starting graduate courses in the senior year.
