Bachelor of Science in Business Administration:

Get a big-time business degree in a small-college environment.

Our Business Administration program teaches all the practical skills you’ll need for a business career, however at Mount Ida we add an element that is too often missing from other business degree programs—the business of relationships. We offer collaborative business administration classes, highly engaged faculty, and a lively small college atmosphere that fosters interaction and friendship, helping you cultivate the interpersonal skills that distinguish successful business professionals.

You’ll master fundamental business methods and technologies, graduating with a bachelor’s degree that gets you ready for the job market—and for success in the business world. You can also customize your degree with a concentration in Marketing or Finance. Building on our strong core business classes, the marketing concentration offers a range of courses in contemporary marketing techniques and practices. The focused courses in the finance concentration teach you about the inner-workings of the world financial system.

Our Business Administration degree emphasizes practical knowledge—the type that matters in the workplace, not just in the classroom. You’ll examine real-world business issues and tackle complex problems, both individually and in collaborative project teams. Business administration courses provide you with first-hand experience in core business skills such as:

  • Conducting research and writing business and marketing plans
  • Utilizing technology and analytical tools
  • Working on collaborative teams
  • Making presentations

We’ll also help you find professional internship opportunities in nearby Boston, a global business hub with a strong presence in financial services, life sciences, technology and other dynamic industries. And you’ll complete the bachelor’s degree in business administration with a capstone project that showcases your abilities in front of an industry panel of experts.
