The School of Social Sciences and Humanities at Mount Ida College offers a diverse portfolio of academic programs that build on an educational foundation that cultivates critical thinking, analytic, and communication skills. Combined with our innovative program curricula, the School’s suite of majors provides a number of opportunities for students to explore their interests and build toward successful careers.
A special characteristic of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities is the College’s optional CONNECT program. The CONNECT living-learning community provides an engaging environment designed to foster academic and social success at college specifically for first-year students in the Schools of Business and Social Sciences & Humanities. CONNECT enhances the first-year experience by combining all the necessary ingredients to ensure that first-year students transition smoothly into college life and college-level academic work. CONNECT students live together on newly renovated floors in their own residence hall, where they also take classes and have close access to professional advising, peer mentors, tutoring, and additional co-curricular programs at no additional charge.
