Additional license for teacher of students with moderate disabilities, PreK-8

Mount Ida College Continuing Education is pleased to offer Massachusetts licensed teachers the opportunity to earn the Post-Baccalaureate Additional License for Teachers of Students with Moderate Disabilities, Pre K-8.

This five-credit additional professional license gives you the training needed to work with students with a variety of needs PreK-8 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Mount Ida College has been granted permission to facilitate this additional license by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).

Enrollment deadlines

If you’d like to pursue this additional licensure program scheduled to begin in fall 2013, please enroll by August 20, 2013. If you plan to enroll for spring 2014, please complete your enrollment by December 20, 2013

Schedule

For fall 2013, the internship will begin on August 26 with the seminar meeting Wednesday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on campus. The fall semester ends December 11, 2013. The spring semester will begin January 14, 2014 through May 5, 2014.
