The pursuit of academic excellence at Mount Ida College is one of many ways you can become the best version of yourself. On our beautiful campus, not far from Boston, our community encourages and celebrates academic achievement through our Honors Program and Honors Societies.

If you are selected to be part of the Honors Program at Mount Ida College, you will have an opportunity to become an independent and critical thinker, develop core academic skills, and enhance personal development skills through completing the following requirements over four years:

Completion of the various Honors requirements will provide you with an opportunity to gain personal development skills that have been shown to have a positive effect in our personal lives and in the workplace.

The Honors Program compliments our institutional mission of preparing you for your future professional life, as well as providing benefit for your interpersonal relationships. Our goal is simply to help you discover untapped strengths and uncover your best self!

Additional opportunities for Honors Students

  • Presentation and/or attendance at regional and national Honors conferences
  • Attendance at academic enrichment and social events hosted by various Honors Committees
  • Participation in the summer intercultural studies program at Charles University in Prague
  • Graduate with Honors designation
  • How to apply:

You do not need to apply for entrance into the Honors Program. We invite a select group of incoming freshmen when they are accepted into the College. This is the only time at which invitations to join the Honors Program are extended.
