Guiding goals and initiatives
The Mount Ida community has a future filled with transformative opportunities – from renovating and rebuilding our student-focused facilities, including a new student center and state-of-the-art fitness center to bringing real world experience to our students inside and outside the classroom. In 2013, under President Brown’s leadership, our broad-based Strategic Planning Committee determined the strategic goals and priorities that will shape the college’s next decade.
Read our strategic plan, Creating a Model for the 21st – Century College Education, which describes our four key strategic initiatives:
- Deliver career-relevant, experiential programs integrated with a foundation in communication, analytic and critical thinking skills
- Focus on rigorous assessment of student learning and institutional outcomes
- Be a diverse, engaged community focused on student success
- Provide a sustainable campus environment that fosters engagement and pride
Next steps for innovation
The college’s new strategic plan will challenge the Mount Ida community to meet the growing needs of our students. We thank the Mount Ida community for their thoughtful feedback and participation in this process. The work of faculty and staff is at the heart of everything we stand for as a leader in career focused education, blending a strong foundation in the humanities and social sciences along with a supportive learning experience.
