Center for Community Engagement

The Center for Community Engagement was created in the fall of 2016, and is the formal home for all aspects of the curricular and co-curricular service and civic experiences here at Mount Ida. Reporting directly to the President’s Office, the Center for Community Engagement spans both academic and student affairs and provides support, programming and resources for students, faculty, staff and community partners.

The goal of the Center for Community Engagement is to:

  • Create leadership opportunities both in and out of the classroom that serve a higher purpose
  • Create positive change within the community
  • Provide relevant experiences that translate to personal and professional growth

Mount Ida College is now one of 83 campuses in 23 states designated as a “Voter-Friendly Campus.” Read more about this recognition and the Campus Vote Project.
