Stay Involved with Mount Ida College

Family and Friends Council

Mount Ida’s top priority is your student’s success.

The families and friends of our students are instrumental to that success. If you want to be more deeply involved with the Mount Ida community, we invite you to consider joining the Mount Ida Family and Friends Council. The Mount Ida Family and Friends Council was created to help important members of a student’s life become involved in their new community.  We see you, like your student, as a vital member of our college family.  Through the Council, family and friends connect with other members of the Mount Ida community including our alumni, students, staff, faculty, and administrators.

Family and Friends Council members gather for events, offer their insight and an important perspective to Mount Ida leaders on college-related issues, contribute their support, have the opportunity to inspire and mentor students, and serve as Mount Ida ambassadors and hosts. Through these connections, the Mount Ida experience is enhanced for everyone.

The Family and Friends Council meets in-person as a group annually. This group meeting will typically occur during our annual FallFest Weekend so that families and friends, regardless of their location can participate in this important group.  As needs arise, the Council will be invited to participate in conference calls throughout the year to discuss various events and plans to engage others in the Mount Ida College community. All family members and friends are welcome to become members of this group.

To learn more about the Family and Friends Council, contact our Council co-chairs, Maria and Alberto D’Esposito P’19 or Patty Shaffer, Director of Advancement Operations.
